Walther Strong DPM Butyl Tape is a high performance 2-in-1 jointing tape, now certified for use with both standard and radon damp proof membranes. It is designed to securely hold DPM sheets in place, creating a continuous damp proof and airtight seal at joints, overlaps, and around service penetrations or protrusions.
Made from premium butyl rubber, the tape provides excellent adhesion to all damp proof membranes while remaining flexible enough to conform to uneven or irregular surfaces. | Use Case |
1. Clean all contact surfaces
2. Remove the outer plastic wrapping and pull back the DPM Tape
3. Stick the tape (with backing) to the first membrane making sure the membrane is flat with no creases
4. Press down the DPM tape to the first membrane to ensure a good adhesive bond
5. When ready start from one end and reveal the upper adhesive side of the tape whilst bonding the second DPM layer to the tape
Press down on the tape through the second membrane to ensure a water/airtight seal
