Description

Self-expanding foam tape is a soft and flexible expanding foam used predominantly as a weather seal to prevent water ingress and retain heat in external and internal applications. Its self-expanding properties allow it to conform to gaps, cracks, and irregular surfaces, creating an airtight, draught proof, and thermally efficient barrier.

When applied under high compression, the foam forms a reliable, permanent, weatherproof seal. In lower compression applications, it delivers a clean, aesthetically pleasing join, effectively bridging smooth or uneven surfaces such as brickwork, concrete, wood, and plastics.

The tape starts compact and gradually expands over 2–3 hours, filling cracks, wedges, and joints to maintain a continuous airtight barrier. Its UV stability, acoustic performance, and moisture resistance make it ideal for doors, windows, and other critical sealing points, while its open cell formulation prevents mildew and ensures long term durability.
