Walther Strong HD Timber Coating is designed for those hard to tape areas. Its quick drying waterproof formula seals exposed timber ends, ledger boards, stringers and posts — providing long term protection against moisture. Used together with Walther Strong Deck Tape, it offers a complete protection system for timber structures.
Timber treatment only penetrates so far under the surface and offers limited protection once the timber is cut or drilled. End grains, tops of posts, notches, noggins and wall plate / ledger boards quickly absorb moisture, leading to rot, decay and premature failure. While the right tape is the proven solution for joist tops, it can be difficult or impractical to apply on these awkward details.
The coating is quick drying, becoming touch dry in as little as 20 minutes*, and will fully cure within 24 hours at 21°C with average humidity. Once cured, the surface may remain slightly tacky to the touch – this is normal and will not affect performance.
Each 4 kg of HD Timber Coating provides protection for approximately 150 m of timber cut ends and joists.

Clean Up:
Clean skin and tools with warm soapy water immediately after use.
Caution:
Keep out of reach of children and pets. Wear gloves and eye protection during use, and avoid contact with clothing. In case of eye contact, rinse thoroughly with clean water. If irritation persists, seek medical advice. If swallowed, call a doctor or poison centre immediately.

Application:
Walther Strong Timber Coating can be applied with a standard paint brush or a heavy duty roller. For best results, apply a generous and even single coat directly onto clean, dry timber. Use above 4°C in dry conditions, and avoid application on damp or contaminated surfaces.
