Walther Strong HD Timber Coating is a quick drying, rubberised waterproof liquid designed to protect hard to tape timber areas such as exposed ends, ledger boards, stringers, posts, notches, and wall plates. Timber treatment only penetrates the surface and offers limited protection once the timber is cut or drilled, leaving these critical areas vulnerable to moisture ingress, rot, and decay. HD Timber Coating provides a long term moisture barrier, helping extend the life of timber structures.
Used alongside Walther Strong Deck Tape, it forms a complete timber protection system, safeguarding both joists and awkward timber details that are difficult to tape. Its quick drying formula becomes touch dry in as little as 20 minutes* and fully cures within 24 hours at 21°C under average humidity. Once cured, the surface may remain slightly tacky, which is normal and does not affect performance.
Each 4kg container of HD Timber Coating covers approximately 150m of timber, making it highly efficient for professional and DIY applications. It can be applied using a brush or roller, with single coat protection delivering durable results.

Clean Up:
Clean skin and tools with warm soapy water immediately after use.

Application:
Walther Strong Timber Coating can be applied with a standard paint brush or a heavy duty roller. For best results, apply a generous and even single coat directly onto clean, dry timber. Use above 4°C in dry conditions, and avoid application on damp or contaminated surfaces.
The coating is quick drying, becoming touch dry in as little as 20 minutes*, and will fully cure within 24 hours at 21°C with average humidity. Once cured, the surface may remain slightly tacky to the touch – this is normal and will not affect performance.
