CASE STUDY: Switzerland

In 2021 Walther Strong was asked to supply a company building a hotel in Switzerland. Naturally we were keen to assist but needed to understand the manufactures wants and desires when it came to specifications and requirements. They were looking for decking protection that would ensure that their harsh European weather wasn’t going to deteriorate their subframe for their chalet builds.

We explained that when undergoing a decking project there were a range of options for subframes that would essentially mean that they wouldnt need Decktape if they had frameworks built from aluminium or plastic. They insisted that natural treated wood was what they wanted to build with and that they wanted a sustainable product that was going to last the distance and having seen Deck Tape online, wanted to sample is on their timber, and if it worked order in bulk to lay on their subframes. Once the preliminary tests were sent over, the data sheets emailed and the customers happy with the product we shipped over 5000 linear meters to Switzerland to complete their decking build.

The result was an astounding deck built in a stunning location, overlooking the valleys and mountains of the Switz countryside.
